The Aeronix SpaceCellBase will provide a MUOS base-station in a low SWaP payload design that makes use of LEO proven radio components, existing waveform functionality available in the JTRS waveform repository, proven space cryptographic assets, and Aeronixs unique knowledge in all these areas. This technology can be delivered in the 3u CubeSat payload specification for a limited number of users and transmission time, the transition to a 6u CubeSat would enable expansion of user quantity and transmission time on a per orbit basis. Aeronix is a proven provider of satellite hardware, Type 1 Information Assurance technology, and fielded operational Cell technology based tactical radios to the DoD.

Benefit:
Applications for robust communication systems exist in both the DoD and the commercial markets. The ability to provide focused service in times of need whether for military purposes or for commercial outages enables future opportunities to provide vital communications. Our solution makes use of software defined radios enable Aeronix to provide MUOS, 3G technologies, 4G technologies, military waveforms, and future waveforms. The target of this research is for NAVY, however the technology and the waveform has many applications across the DoD, potential platforms exist in the following areas: The NAVY fleet in general for close proximity broadband communications Ship to shore communications Communications in high multipath environments Similarly in the commercial world markets for this commercial waveforms on the CubeSat include the following as a small subset as the application space is large: Commercial Ship, buoy to shore communications Port communications Oil platform communications Aeronix will work with the NAVY and large system providers to identify applications to expand market potential which is a win situation for DoD and commercial by driving the unit cost down. Aeronix will rely on its expertise in delivering solutions to such programs of record as ARMY WIN-T, A-10 upgrades, C-30 upgrades, and F-16 upgrades. Aeronix will further leverage vast expertise in delivering high quality space solutions and intimate knowledge of DoD platforms.
