This research will investigate the feasibility of leveraging prior DoD investment in MiMoClouds Generalized Method (MGM) of data compression, to compress a variety of multi-sensor data sets. The MGM is a flexible compression tool that yields highly promising efficiency. In collaboration with Lockheed Martin a supplier of several Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) and the University of Maryland College Park where cutting edge research on compression is undertaken, MiMoCloud proposes to investigate if the MGM can be customized to meet the Navys needs for compressing LCS maintenance and monitoring data.

Benefit:
Compression of data aid transmission of large volumes of data over limited bandwidths. Compression can benefit LCS for ship to shore applications, as well as unmanned vehicles collecting ISR data. Compression can also benefit storage of data by
