An innovative integrated motor/propulsor (IMP) system is proposed that will improve the power density, efficiency and reduce acoustic signatures over existing designs. Gains in power density will be achieved by reducing the required motor torque in combination with motor structures that improve power density while working within the physical limits of the windings and magnetic materials
