1this proposal describes an sbir phase i project to provide a system design concept for a mission readiness reporting system (mrrs) and provide a preliminary system/software demonstration in support of a phase ii prototype mrrs. The objective of the "concept design" task will be to define object relationships between equipment and monitored parometer; define requirements for data processing, networking, external transmission and display; and define a knowledge-based system in support of the man-machine interface. The objective of the "preliminary mrrs system demonstration" will be to utilize the submitting company's existing system hardware and relavent application simulations. These simulations depict operational aspects of an mrrs for a swath vessel and an expert damage control for an ffq-7 class vessel. These programs will be merged and modified to present essential mrrs elements for equipment readiness awareness in readiness conditions i, iii and iv; embedded training and condition-based maintenance. The completion of this proposed phase i will enhance the implementation of the phase ii prototype by verifying capability of essential technology, by indentifying technical shortfalls before expenditure of larger commitments and by focusing us navy expectations of an mrrs.
