Phase I proposes to gather the data and descriptive information for a 28-shot set of experiments made in the early 1970's to measure high overpressure airblast from 8-lb charges of PBX-9404, to prepare a work plan and procedures for completing the data processing from the experiments, checkout the procedures with sample analyses, and to prepare a cost estimate for Phase II. The completion of Phases I and II will provide a detailed documentation of the test procedures, facility, equipment, and results. The results represent the United States data base for HE height-of-burst overpressure from less than 6 bars to 1 Kbar.
