This proposal addresses critical technical questions to enable full integration of a successful intervention into school practice and broader commercialization. The ISI intervention utilizes Assessment to instruction software, the underlying research tool. Though, A2i has been shown to significantly improve students¿ reading outcomes within the classroom, it is a research tool and the implementation protocol has required extensive on site training and researcher support. Further, many of the software interfaces in the present form of A2i are inadequate to provide access and privacy protections for teachers to use broadly and independently.
