ACS proposes to develop a real time NWWS performance monitoring capability utilizing a 386 personal computer, Microsoft Windows, and an off the shelf serial interface board. The ACS developed Weather Wire Automatic Monitoring System(WWAMS) will provide the following features:a. Real time performance monitoring, quality checking, report generation, and user interface;b. Color, menu driven, user-friendly interface;c. User entry of monitoring parameters and acceptable performance limits by WWS message type;d. User defined ALARM conditions;e. User customized performance summaries;f. Ability to add new functions as requirements change.Phase 1 objectives will be to finalize WWAMS requirements and complete a top level design. ACS will develop the WWAMS during Phase 2.Commercial Applications:Once developed, the WWAMS can perform similar performance monitoring functions for any two-way ASCII character link.
