Vigilant Cyber Systems, Inc. (VCS) proposes to develop the Industrial Hygienist Assessment Tool (IHAT) to enable automatic association of environmental conditions and activities with chemical and physical exposures detected by body worn sensors and area monitors. VCS has significant experience in developing applications and infrastructures to process data from sensors, performing feature extraction, signal processing, machine learning and analytics on that data, and presenting visualizations of that data for diverse users. Our development team has a combined 188 years of engineering and software development experience and we have a clear path to commercialization with our existing relationships with ManTech and General Dynamics. IHAT will consist of a mobile device application with a graphical user interface (GUI), wireless communication module, a hazard detection analyzer and a server running a web application. User initialization data and data from wearable sensors will be used to recognize activities being performed by the user. Context-sensitive data logs containing sensor data and identified hazards are communicated to the web application for storage, where they can be accessed for further analysis. If further analysis is performed, the analyst can relay the additional information to any device containing the mobile application and warnings/notifications will be provided to the user with an urgency that corresponds to the hazard’s degree of potential harm
