This proposal will investigate the requirements for an automated system that can provide triage, treatment, and diagnostic support for skin infections and other non-domestic dermatological conditions military personnel are at risk of contracting. 3Derm Systems, Inc. will utilize a patent-pending, color-calibrated 3D skin imager along with a deep understanding of teledermatology and patient/dermatologist/primary care workflows to construct a user-friendly system that can empower medics and corpsmen to operate far above their clinical training level.Core areas of work will be performing expert interviews, designing stakeholder and system requirements, modifying existing AI networks to handle uncommon dermatological conditions, and exploring how to optimize image processing on mobile technology while offline.dermatology, teledermatology, machine learning, skin imaging, automated diagnostics,Mobile, decision support, rural health
