Vector Atomic will design and build a Compact, Optically Stabilized Molecular Iodine Clock (COSMIC) for deployment in real world environments. COSMIC’s simplified optical clock architecture resolves practical issues associated with dynamic operation, lifetime, autonomy, and cost. Such a clock can support rapid GPS acquisition and enable new capabilities including secure communications, geolocation of adversary emitters, multi-static radar, and long-dwell time/coherent imaging.
