Galley Power is proposing to design, develop and evaluate an intelligent Lithium-ion 6T battery maintenance and charging system. Galley Power's innovative charger concept includes AC power conditioner, DC power conditioner and optimal Lithium-ion 6T battery charging stage and controller. It is capable of supporting both AC and DC charging source. At the same time, it allows power regeneration so that the battery power can be recycled to its source. The charger will be compliant with MIL-PRF-32565. Galley Power is also proposing to develop charging method evaluation models to facilitate charging profile selection based on performance, cycle life, mission-related turnaround time, etc. Battery health and fault early warning will also be developed. Benchtop prototypes will verify the feasibility of the proposed design.
