We will use COTS sensors currently developed for the autonomous vehicle market to create a set of tools that guide a rookie driver into increasing the capabilities of the vehicle. In other words, we would like to separate two types of performance enhancements to ground vehicles, (1) Improved physical characteristics of the vehicle: bigger engine, better suspension, lower CG, etc. (which we will not be addressing) and (2) Improved control with the same vehicle characteristics: make a rookie driver take full mechanical advantages of the vehicle and the given terrain (which is what we will address).
