Herrick Technology Laboratories will investigate CMOSS compliant software defined radios (SDR) for communications. Our approach is to leverage our existing CMOSS compliant 3U VPX RF Transceiver to define a CMOSS compliant communications application hosted on the radio. This provides the government with a low-cost, low-risk solution and high-performance solution. Designing CMOSS compliant Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems is a core HTL capability. HTL has developed and delivered CMOSS aligned modules and backplanes in support of the Army CMOSS program and the Air Force Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) program.
