This proposal is for CMOSS compliant radio-head for communications. Our approach is to leverage our existing CMOSS compliant 3U VPX components and our amplifiers and apertures developments, to define a CMOSS compliant radio-head architecture. This approach provides the government with a low-cost, low-risk solution and high-performance solution. HTL has developed and delivered CMOSS aligned modules and backplanes in support of the Army CMOSS program and the Air Force Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) program. Our Phase 1 effort will develop an architecture, plan, and schedule for a Phase II developmental effort. The architecture will be dual-use and will simultaneously multiple functions such as communications, SIGINT and commercial spectrum survey. It will also support simultaneous multi-band operations. The will integrate high-speed CMOSS aligned internal and external interfaces, such as PCIe and 100 Gigabit Ethernet. The external interfaces enable interoperability between multiple chassis. HTL has experience with developing SDR systems for DoD applications using CMOSS, SOSA, FACE, HOST, 3UVPX, REDHAWK, MORA, VICTORY, and V49.2 standards. We will define the radio-head architecture using the appropriate balance of these standards.
