On military vehicles, high voltage power architectures shrink component size, weight & cooling, improve fuel efficiency, optimize vehicle performance, and reduce noise to ultimately increase defense and mission capabilities. Advanced high voltage electrical loads are being created and the electrification of loads allows for the removal of constant mechanical drag on the engine, an increase in efficiency and capability through variable control, and mission critical information, diagnostics, and fault handling. Various industries have established vehicle high voltage generation and storage; aerospace at 270V, hybrid electric vehicles at 350V, and military at 600V. Global ET will create a configurable, scalable, high temperature, wide bandgap Dual High Voltage Converter (DVMC) that will provide the U.S Army with the ability to bridge these established high voltage power systems to maximize available power. The power electronics of the DHVC will be scalable allowing the solution to be optimized and transitioned to commercialization.SiC,DCDC,power conversion,Power Control,Power distribution,Power Management,Electrification, high voltage
