In Phase I, IS4S developed a number of different methods in which jamming and spoofing attacks can be detected. Detection methods ranged from using advanced methods that leveraged RF environment sensing using a CRPA antenna to detect jamming to clock bias monitoring to detect spoofing attacks. Additionally, signals were validated using estimated AOAs compared to the expected AOA of the satellites. Finally, a geolocation method was investigated that used estimated AOAs to locate either a jammer or spoofer. In Phase II, IS4S will integrate these technologies into a real-time platform for use in HWIL testing and future analysis.
