Impact Technologies, LLC proposes a Battlefield Telemedicine platform with a head up display in the form of Goggles for use by combat medics as well as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). Impact has access to state of the art high resolution transparent displays and small form factor computational and wireless communication subsystems that will enable the next generation of human computer interfaces such as voice and eye control. These technologies will bring operational and functional efficiency to combat medics and first responders. The proposed system improves medical situational awareness by incorporating a completely hands free heads-up display approach to present medics with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) as well as real time speech, text and video content. The system extracts the EMR data by connecting to the healthcare database through the tactical internet. The current state of the art in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) does not have a solution for hands free telemedicine platform that presents real-time EMR and documentation procedure. Impact proposes an open architecture communication platform with transparent display and multiple supported wireless communication protocols that will have operational benefits for the combat medic.
