The proposed work will include evaluation assessment of the state of the art in stereoscopic and stereophonic display technologies, and investigate innovative hyperhemispheric head tracking, eye tracking, 3D sound rendering, and methods of authoring software for environment developers. Technical options are proposed for investigation in phase II prototype hardware. Full-world high-versimilitude display will have direct positive impact on most information workers, as well as training, simulation, battlefield management, and entertainment.

The proposed work will capitalize on the successful work of Phase I, implementing a new display technology, innovative hyperhemispheric head tracking, and methods of authoring software for environment developers. The proposed work will take the system concept through a system brassboard and preparation of systems for field testing.
