Driven by a patented internally developed semiconductor chipset, Metawave has developed SPEKTRA, a breakthrough compact analog/digital radar system that has provided the automotive industry with next-generation high-precision and perception radar capabilities accurate out to 900 meters. SPEKTRA provides autonomous vehicles the range and precision necessary to operate in busy environments near humans. The US Air Force requires similar capabilities for autonomous or flight-assisted mainstream or VTOL aircraft. Metawave developed similar technology for the Aerial UAS/UAV market after winning a multimillion contract with a leading conglomerate Aerospace company to deliver our POLARIS beamforming and steering chip. Metawave proposes to build TRITON radar for use in aerial vehicle applications by increasing the maximum effective range, dramatically reducing cost, reducing interference/jamming, improving detection reliability using its 2D beamsteering control, including faster frame rate and higher angular resolution, while delivering imaging and perception capabilities to supply the USAF with next-generation GNC goals.
