Under GPS-denied conditions, tracking a target within a team of UAVs becomes difficult as there is no central information source like GPS. Since the information available is the local information from the vehicles, information handoff is vital to ensure that the target can be accurately tracked in case the formation changes. Hence, with this effort UtopiaCompression aims to develop a robust target tracking and handoff solution for a team of UAVs such that the vehicles can follow different trajectories and estimate the 3D pose of their neighbors as well as that of the target.
