To achieve high levels of efficiency and resiliency in Air Force power systems, timely reporting and understanding of the status and behavioral trends of the system is required, as is the ability to modify control schemes in real-time. Asymmetric Technologies and the University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) will develop the Grid Real-Time, Integrated, Data-Driven Predictive Analytics and Control (GRIDPAC) platform to address these issues, building on previous work with advanced, embedded computing and electrical systems using artificial-intelligence software and machine-learning applications. GRIDPAC is a real-time integrated predictive analytics and control platform for tactical microgrids and other Air Force power systems. GRIDPAC will offer enhanced situational awareness for microgrids and other power systems, particularly energy production from intermittent resources and energy consumption of varying load, as well as improved energy efficiency with optimized operation resulting in reduced installation, operation and maintenance costs
