SBIR-STTR Award

The purpose of this proposal is to provide the DoD with a means for representing all of the differing LODs for models of interest within a single database that would be centralized and optimized for global use by all applications regardless of the LOD that they may need to perform their analysis. This effort would be to put together a database schema that would support all LODs for any given model within a single or multiply connected database(s). This would allow any application to directly access this database and pull out the geometry of a 3D model that has been Verified and Validated (V&V) in any LOD that they need. The effort is not to populate the database with the models, but to provide a means for the database to be populated in the future in an optimal fashion for efficacy across all DoD developed Modeling and Simulation (M&S) applications no matter where they fall within the M&S Pyramid.
