In response to AF203-CS01, Higher Ground [HG] would like to offer a non-jammable, resilient solution to provide SatNav in support of the U.S. Air Force operations. Our solution, GEOFix, provides non-GPS geolocation and navigation using GEO satellites as position datums. This process is non-jammable due to the use of multiple channels from within an available satellite passband of 500 MHz. Commercial GEO satellites have 500 MHz available in each band. This communications architecture is flexible and adaptable via the employment of software-defined radios and already-in-orbit, bent-pipe, GEO satellites. It also uses advanced encryption and spreading codes to achieve an extremely Low Probability of Detection [LPD] signal. Downstream this technique can even provide time transfer with an accuracy likely higher than that of GPS. This Phase I study will outline the deficiencies in the GPS system; look at the engineering challenges and potential solutions; then provide an explanation of how our disruptive approach, GEOFix, will solve GPS Denied. GEOFix will use localization over GEO satellites (not GPS satellites) to sense potential interference or spoofing of a GPS location fix and then distribute instead a valid geolocation to the space and user segments.
