The US Air Force has a demand for a compact lightweight high-power solid-state power amplifier for V-band crosslinks. In response to this need, MaXentric is proposing a quasi-optical V-band SSPA with power scalability codenamed SOCRATES. During the proposed Phase I effort, MaXentric will leverage its experience developing a variety of satellite high power amplifiers with highly efficient DSP to thoroughly exercise the system tradespace through design, simulation, and power amplifier architecture testing. This effort will culminate in a detailed prototype blueprint and will be complemented with a Phase I hardware demonstration. SOCRATES will provide the Air Force with high efficiency and high linearity SATCOM crosslink solution that meets future airborne communication needs.

Phase II
