Augmented Reality (AR) is used in the military and commercially to overlay information on real surfaces. ARCS will convert the output of a scanner into an AR animation overlay such as heat maps, topographical lines, or depth numbers on the surface being scanned to aid maintenance staff perform painting and re-touching faster and more efficiently.
