This Rapid CubeSat Development Study directly aligns with the success of Tyvak's core business and operations strategy. Critical factors that impact speed, responsiveness and agility have been identified throughout the design to flight cycle flow and techniques for their optimization have been discovered and include; establishment of a Payload Interface Control Document (ICD), Automation Options for the Payload ICD, Supply Chain Management & Procurement, Assembly Integration and Test (AI&T) streamliningand Space Vehicle Licensing. Approaches for assessing the reduction of nominal CubeSat flight system delivery from 12-18 months down to 3-5 months has been provided along with non-traditional techniques.
