Axellio Inc. is seeking government funding to accelerate the development of the new FX-Blox concept to create the worlds most powerful, flexible, and portable hyper-converged system. The total dimension would be 22 x 14 x 9 inches (carry-on limitation) and be portable by a single user with integrated wheels and handle for transporting on commercial airlines. This minor form factor change from the revolutionary FX product line would be purpose-build for rapidly deployable tactical edge military and intelligence units. The system is capable of throughput 10-20x faster than state-of-the-art with two dual CPU server modules, up to 112 cores, 2 TB RAM, and 380 TB all-flash storage. This effort would leverage several million dollars in past R&D on the FX-1000 and the soon-to-be released FX-2000 so there is substantial cost savings with no significant schedule or technical risk. The secret sauce of the FX series is the revolutionary FabricXpress hyperconverged technology that employs an innovative PCIe switching technique which creates a super highway to densely-packed connected devices to enable a level of performance that is unmatched and currently holds several world speed records.hyper-converged,edge computing,Big Data analytics,FabricXpress,Axellio,FX-Blox,sensor fusion, artificial intelligence

The FX-BLOX is a dual-use modification of the revolutionary FabricXpress edge computing product line, originally conceived during a skunkworks effort with Intel Corp in 2014-2015. FabricXpress exploits a novel PCIe-switching technique creating a "super-highway" bus architecture that dramatically increases storage capacity and processing speeds involving high volume/velocity data to enable real-time decisions from advanced analytics, at the point of ingest. The first commercial product, FX-1000, was launched in 2017 and is in use by several companies in both the commercial and defense sectors. Independent testing has shown FabricXpress to be 10-30x faster than any other computing system in its class. The FX-2000 will be released in August 2019 with more than double the number of PCIe lanes, 50% improvement in processing, and more capacity for GPUs. These products are rack-mounted in traditional data centers. Based on demand from several military units for a rapidly deployable FabricXpress system, the FX-BLOX effort for this SBIR involves modifying the design into a ruggedized carry-on suitcase and reconfiguring the components to be modular to meet a wide range of tactical edge and hybrid cloud missions including but not limited to, cybersecurity network monitoring, sensor/imagery analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
