SI2 Technologies, Inc. (SI2) proposes to provide a modular, multi-function payload for the AgilePod® family that provides capability for various radar modes, for secure communications modes, and for EW modes. The payload will provide wide instantaneous bandwidths for frequencies up to 18 GHz. This design will be based on experimentally-validated antenna system and RF electronic designs from previous SI2 programs, including DARPA ACT, Navy PMA-234 Next Generation Jammer, and Navy PMA-263 RQ-21 DF payload. During Phase I, SI2 proposes to refine the CONOPS and requirements for different usage profiles of the AgilePod®, perform trade studies to identify options for components that weighs performance against SWAP-C requirements, and detail a modular, scalable payload design based on the components identified in the trade study. SI2's innovative solution will provide the US Air Force, other DoD services, and interested parties with a payload architecture for the AgilePod® family that will use open interfaces between the parts of the payload to enable rapid reconfiguration on the flight line, addressing in real time evolving mission requirements. The SOSA-compliant approach will also allow for fast development of new sensor modules to quickly address emerging threats and opportunities.
