Ascendant Engineering Solutions (AES) proposes to develop a Low SWaP Tactical Beam Control System (LSTBCS) solution by leveraging the experience and expertise gained in developing multiple airborne small, low SWaP, high performance stabilized gimbal systems with stringent laser beam pointing / stabilization requirements. AES has developed and fielded these airborne systems and they contain many of the same components and subsystems required by the LSTBCS. This includes imaging systems from visible to longwave IR, precision target trackers, (Class IV designator) lasers, and mass / gyro stabilized nested gimbal and head mirror designs operating on airborne platforms. AES routinely conducts dynamic systems modeling and analyses for the beam control / tracker as well as the structurally-induced-line-of-sight (SILOS) jitter resulting from the higher frequency vibration environment. Theyve verified their analyses via testing on the small UAS airborne platforms. AES is one of the few small businesses with actual precision stabilized gimbal systems design and integration experience. They have executed the myriad design trades required to achieve an effective low SWaP design to meet stringent stabilization and pointing requirements. They have demonstrated precision tracking and laser beam pointing on airborne platforms for other AFRL contracts.Precision HEL Beam Control,Low SWaP-C Airborne HEL,Airborne Laser Weapon
