AFWERX has a national defense-related mission need in the area of innovation scale through airmen engagement via crowdsourcing, value tracking and program and platform management for organizational crowdsourcing, organizational engagement, and program scale. Specifically, the Air Force has launched a crowdsourcing tool and needs help ensuring the best use of the platform. There is a gap between the submission of ideas and then the coaching and guidance they receive. The mission impact of this project on the Air Force and the Department of Defense will be to empower Airmen across all ranks and capacities to drive positive change, solve problems, and transform culture at speed and scale by reducing the time and effort it takes to crowdsource solutions and track results due to the benefit of centralized administration, lessons learned, best practices, and knowledge management.
