Navitas Advanced Solutions Group has been a leading supplier for high-energy power solutions for the U.S. military. Focusing now on wearable power solutions, Navitas is working to develop a Ballistic Conformal Wearable Battery (B-CWB), which unifies portable power sources and ballistic protection. The objective of this effort is to develop an advanced cell withballistic properties and packaging this into a wearable solution. This will reduce the weight and volume burden of the Airmen while providing ballistic protection in the Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV) footprint or Enhanced Small Arms Protective Inserts (ESAPI) form factor. For the development of this product Navitas has partnered with experts at Elegus Technologies and Oak Ridge National Laboratory to produce an Anti-Ballistic Lithium Ion cell. Unlike other efforts to develop ballistic batteries, the ballistic properties will begin at the cell-level.SAPI body armor,Lithium Ion Battery, ballistic impact, abuse tolerant
