Ascend Integrated provided an overview to the 561st Joint Tactics Squadron (JTS) of the Atlassian Confluence suite. Through this, Ascend Integrated is proposing to implement, configure, and deploy the Atlassian Confluence (Confluence) suite, a commercial, off the shelf (COTS) product providing users the capability to collaborate, share, create, read, and update content securely and effectively in order to achieve mission objectives for the Knowledge Management For Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) documentation. Currently the TTPs are published as static PDFs, with limited capabilities to monitor usage and engagement for each of the documents / artifacts. Confluence provides the capability for the 561st Weapons Squadron to safely and securely access their content, create pre-defined templates, and save their documentation in a dynamic environment. With its ease of use, Confluence enables users to utilize publishing workflows to create, review, and approve documentation updates to the TTPs, and provides a full audit log of approvals and reviews. Advanced search capabilities, view / authorship / usage metrics, and multimedia / dynamic diagrams are easily created and reviewed. Confluence is currently utilized by other Air Force Bases and across the DoD in multiple capacities, and can be configured / implemented over SIPR, NIPR, and JWICS.
