Phase I Amount
$149,907
Phase I tasks will produce a diplexer design for integration into full-duplex, multi-channel, S-band transmit-receive (T/R) modules for large communication phased array antennas. Design of the diplexer will include interconnection and distribution circuits for integration with active MMIC devices into the RF circuits within the T/R modules. The anticipated advantages of this approach are size, weight, and cost reductions and maximized manufacturability and reproducibility. Diplexer modeling and equivalent circuit development will be completed in Phase I. The diplexer capability will be demonstrated and evaluated in Phase II with prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing.

Benefit:
This filter and diplexer technology is applicable to military and commercial communication and radar systems for high-performance, low-cost, satellite and mobile communications.
