This SBIR program requires the development of a novel, wireless head-mounted video system which can functionally replace the current night vision goggle simulation headset. OASYS Technology, LLC. will apply expertise in optical and display system design coupled with Pinpoint Solutions, Inc. expertise in wireless video electronics to create a fully compliant 1280x1024 pixel binocular HMD with 40 degree field of view and a battery powered 60 Hz framerate wireless video link in a headset which emulates the look and feel of the AN/AVS-9 night vision goggle.

This program will produce a prototype wireless head-mounted night vision goggle simulator assembly which provides a full 1024x1280 pixel resolution at a 60 Hz frame rate. The assembly will have the outward appearance and functional interface similar to the current aviator’s night vision goggles, but will benefit from a battery operable, wireless data link which will not restrict the operator’s head motion.
