Oroni Inc. Phase I, is a proposal to develop, design, build and demonstrate a prototype of a "remote and or Point-of-load configurable multiple input, Dc-dc-converter having a single adjustable output voltage". Recent progress in Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Aluminum Gallium Arsenid (AlGaAs) semiconductor electronics technology demonstrate the ability of these material to function under extreme high temperature, power, and radiation conditions. Therefore it is the object of this proposal to build a prototype converter using semiconductor fabricated with either or both of these materials. One of any number of input voltage level present at their respective input voltage port can be selected by a remote computer via a serial interface bus or by means of manual switch or jumper that is located at the galvanically isolated secondary side of the converter. The output voltage of the converter can also be adjusted by the same means. The prototype of the proposed dc-dc converter will be tested for functionality, efficiency, and immunity to SEE such as SEGR, SEG, SEL and for total dose levels above 1Mrad. Phase I effort will meet the objectives set forth in this proposal except for the SEE immunity. However Oroni Phase II effort will accomplish the SEE immunity objective
