PhotoSense proposes to develop instrumentation and test methods for jet fuels. There is a need for new and improved instrumentation and methods suited for both laboratory tests to aid in fuels development and for the field to assure quality of fuels before consumption. One of the primary objectives of the Phase I development program will be to develop methods for the determination of water in jet fuels. PhotoSense presents below a research plan to develop fiberoptic instrumentation for fuels testing and determination of water in fuel. The development centers on our core technology, luminescence sensing.
