PatPower proposes to investigate the adoption of their divided chamber combustion technology to the 741 series rotary engine. The work will comprimise a significant CFD study, which will focus on behavior of the air charge during the induction and compression phases. It will also characterize the fuel spray pattern and reaction to the air charge. A Phase I report will be issued, containing the results of the study and describing a means of incorporating the work into a running engine.
