Headquartered in New Jersey and having facilities in NY, CO, MD, NH and IN, Mechanical Solutions specializes in field vibration testing and troubleshooting of critical service rotating and reciprocating machinery; turnkey machinery design and development; computer simulation and analysis including computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA); and high-speed video and 3D spatial tracking. From 1998, Mechanical Solutions(MSI) was part of Foster Miller - now Qinetics - for many years a (the) lead player in the SBIR space. After the Qinetics acquisition, in 2009, MSI bought the foil business back for FMI. MSI is involved in all aspects of rotating machinery. The firm's engineers and technicians travel around the world using National Instruments hardware and LabVIEW software to solve complex problems with pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, fans, gearboxes, and other critical components.
