Public Profile

HD Technologies, Inc. is engaged in researching, developing and marketing scientific instrumentations as well as other commercial activities. The firm has been developing Multilayer Analyzer Array Detectors for x-ray fluorescence. These include detectors optimized for the operation in hard, intermedial and soft x-ray regions. These detectors are being used in various research fields at synchrotron sources. HD Technologies Inc has developed wave-length resolved x-ray fluorescence detector using an array of multilayers. The energy photons are selected based on the diffraction principle and are collected by non-energy resolving detectors. Thus the detectors can have a count rate 100 times more than that of the available solid detectors, while maintaining a very good energy resolution. Unlike crystal based analyzers, which have little or no tunability, the firm's detectors are tunable over a large energy region
