In 1998 Material Methods began offering consulting services in materials science. In 2000 we transitioned from consulting to full funding by US government awards to develop and commercialize nanostructured materials. In 2003 we are transitioning to equal government funding and commercial sales of R&D and products. Material Methods has pilot production capability to fabricate thin sheets from particulate materials such as activated carbon. These composite sheets add value in EDL capacitors, fuel cells, batteries, and gas and liquid separations. We are equipped with SEM, TEM, AFM, optical microscopy, XRD, nitrogen adsorption, TGA, mechanical testing, bench chemistry, electrochemical analysis, and chemical vapor deposition facilities.
