Previously known as Quintel Corporation, Arizona Instrument Corporation (AZI) was originally established by several Motorola engineers focused to providing precision moisture analysis instruments that are accurate, reliable and easy to use.. The firm designs, manufactures and markets the Computrac line of automated microprocessor controlled analytical instruments. These instruments are used to measure the moisture content of various materials. AZI also markets the ENCOMPASS and the Soil Sentry line of computer-based fuel management and compliance leak detection instruments. Both are used for monitoring underground storage tanks. Additionally, after acquiring Jerome Instrument Corporation in 1986, the Company markets the Jerome line of toxic gas detection instruments to include instruments capable of detecting low-level mercury and hydrogen sulfide gases. Both portable and fixed solutions are available using electrochemical sensor, gold film and atomic fluorescence spectroscopy technologies.
