Acquired in Summer 2019 by Softing Automotive Electronics, the work of Phoenix Digital Corporation had included the manufacturing of wire telephone and telegraph equipment: secure industrial fiber optic communications products requiring no IP programming, software updates, security patches, driver updates or memory flash configurations. Active in the SBIR arena only in the late 1980s, the firm's fiber optic communications modules have been/are installed in demanding environments to include oil and gas installations, water/wastewater, mining, bridges and tunnels, and power generation.
