FFFractionation LLC manufactures fractionators, which are used for measuring small particles, polymers and macro molecules. Also its products Field-Flow Fractionation (FFF) systems are used for the separation and size characterization of biological, environmental, and industrial macromolecular to particulate samples in the MW range of 10,000 to 20 million Daltons, size range of a few nanometers to 100 microns. Spotlighting our new, high resolution asymmetric Focus Flow FFF system, as well as the SedFFF colloid/particle analyzers, ThFFF polymer fractionators, and SPLITT fractionators for preparative scale separation. In July 2001, FFFractionation (USA)merged with Postnova Analytics (Germany) The new company isPostnova Analytics Inc.headquartered in Salt Lake City to include all employees of former FFFractionation. The merger has formed a company with two locations (one in the US and one in Europe) and with an extended product portfolio. postnova will focus on development and distribution of the unique patented FFF technology. including analytical systems and services for use in biotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry and the chemical industry. postnovas´ patented technology includes complete characterization systems for biopolymers,
polymers and particles, such as proteins, antibodies and aggregates,
viruses, liposomes and nano particles as well as technical polymers such
as rubbers and plastic polymers. Four product lines are available, covering asymmetric and symmetric flow FFF, sedimentation FFF and thermal FFF. postnova will produce these systems, which also include autosamplers, degassers, pumps and UV, RI and static/dynamic laser light scattering detectors, in its US and European manufacturing locations.
