Currently introducing their line of Li-ion additive technology to select cell manufacturers, Xilectri is organized around Li-ion technology, develops energy and environmental technologies with a particular focus on capacity-retention of existing and emerging Li-ion chemistries. Today's electric vehicles (EVs) are primarily powered by lithium-ion (Li-Ion) batteries--the same kind of batteries used in cell phones and laptop computers. - and having a limited driving range on a single charge and accounting for a high percenatge of the total cost of the vehicle. To compete in the market with gasoline-based vehicles, EVs must cost less and drive farther: the primary focus of Xilectric's efforts.
