Public Profile

Headed up by someone with a long history in SBIR, previously doing business as MKS Technology LLC., the firm was renamed Snowy Range Instruments. Snowy Range Instruments™ was an OEM provider of Raman systems: ORS and portable micro Raman instruments, In a working relationship with Swiss company Metrohm since early in 2014, in March 2016, it was announced that the Metrohm AG acquired the majority of Snowy Range Instruments (SnRI). With the acquisition of Snowy Range Instruments (SnRI), Metrohm benefits from the know-how and resources of a technology leader in applied Raman spectroscopy consolidating the company’s strategic move to extend the Metrohm solution portfolio to next-generation handheld Raman spectrometers. While with the acquisition the company name changed Snowy Range Instruments (SnRI) to “Metrohm Raman”, the US company will continue to develop and produce the Metrohm Raman spectrometers in Laramie, Wyoming.
