Public Profile

Revise Inc was acquired by FEI Company in 2003. Revise had been formed in 1992 to commercialize an important new class of tool based on "laser micro-chemistry" (LMC) processes which perform the critical tasks of etching and deposition hundreds of times faster than current tools, removing the bottlenecks encountered in prototyping and iterating (refining) new semiconductor devices. The Revise family of LMC tools include the 9850 SiliconEtcher and the 9900 FIB Assistant. These tools address problems encountered in debug and failure analysis of the latest "flip-chip" generation of high-speed semiconductor devices. Revise has achieved preeminence as the supplier of LMC tools to the microelectronics industry offering an expanding line of equipment, a portfolio of patented laser microchemical processes and a reputation for fielding reliable, capable and robust equipment.
