Inmatech is organized around next generation suspercapacitors and systems based on nanostructured materials developed and patented by the company's founders at the University of Michigan. Based on low-cost materials and unique cell design, the firm's supercapacitors enable higher energy densities that in turn extend the range and cycle lives of batteries in hybrid energy storage systems. Nanostructured early transition metal carbides and nitrides offer significant cost and performance advantages compared to other commercially available materials for energy storage. The firm's supercapacitors based on early transition metal carbides and nitrides are technologically superior, highly cost competitive and safe (non-flammable).
