Neuro Devices, Inc. is a biotechnology and medical device company that is investigating the use of sweat measuring devices to diagnos peripheral neuropathy much earlier than is normally possible. Often the result of chemotherapy or Diabetes, peripheral neuropathy can be treated if detected early. However, the subtle changes that are indicative of this condition are both hard to detect and easy to miss. By developing a simple device for measuring the sweat produced by a single gland, Neuro Devices aims to greatly improve the abiliy to detect peripheral neuropathy in time to treat it. In addition to the sweat-based approach, Neuro Devices is also developing a device, called The Bumps, capable of diganosisin peripheral neuropathy. The device works by quantifying touch sensation on the finger.
