iFIT Prosthetics produces proesthetic limbs for amputees, focusing on adjustable sockets for a more adaptable fit. The company was founded by Timothy R. Dillingham, MD, MS, a rehabilitation physician specialized in amputee care who served in the U.S. Army during the Persian Gulf War. He also directed the prosthetic and orthotic clinic at the Johns Hopkins University. Dillingham founded IFIT in order to to advance the science of lower limb prosthetics by developing more adjustable prosthesis.
