Public Profile

Piezo Energy Technologies LLC ("PET") is developing and commercializing piezoelectric materials as energy harvesting transducers and wireless power transmitters. Ultrasound Electrical Recharging (USER) project was aimed to use ultrasound waves to transfer energy through an intervening medium to a receiver and then to a rechargeable battery or capacitor. PET is also conducting product development research to develop a means to improve battery life in implanted medical devices and to transfer energy to implanted devices so that invasive surgeries can be minimized. The use of this method will save energy, reduce dependence on batteries, and augment battery life in a variety of ways.
